It was almost like watching a nature special. Little compares to the territoriality of women when it comes to snagging an item that technically is not one-of-a-kind, but is the only one in the room. The third round of the Style Swap was held upstairs at McCrady’s. Before the real action started, guests enjoyed mini red-velvet cupcakes from Cupcake and Firefly sweet tea vodka and bourbon. Local fashion mavens like Cavortress and Candy Shop Vintage had their goods on display. Charleston Fashion Week emerging designers Chelsie Ravenell and Anna Lassiter were spotted in the crowd, and Charleston Magazine Style Editor Ayoka Lucas emceed. While women tagged their desired items, things got a little messy during the musical chairs game, when some women began claiming seats they hadn’t signed up for, until Lucas finally called them out. There is nothing more competitive than a woman trying to get her hands on a free $300 dress.
