Ma’am Saab owners and husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Maryam Ghaznavi and Raheel Gauba will open a second restaurant called Malika in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre at 1333 Theater Drive. The couple served its last meals at Workshop Monday and plans to open Ma’am Saab’s Meeting Street brick-and-mortar eatery later this summer.

Malika will “offer soulful Pakistani street food celebrating the exotic flavors Charleston has come to love through Ma’am Saab,” a press release said.

“Street food is an essential part of everyday life in Pakistan,” Ghaznavi said in the release. “Whether it’s a quick lunch with a friend, a mid-day tea and chaat date, or a quick snack to cool off after a summer shopping spree, we all turn to the ever creative, never disappointing foods sold by hard working vendors along the busy street sides.”

Look for dishes like daal chawal and a malai tikka roll at Malika, which will open later this summer.
