For months now, the Olde North Charleston Picture House has been showing independent films and documentaries at the South of Broadway Theatre in Park Circle, but now it’s adding another venue to the mix — The Mill. And the first offering couldn’t be a better fit for working class/hipster bar The Mill, the 1982 cult classic film The Road Warrior, staring Mel Gibson as Mad Max, a former Australian cop who prowls the Outback looking for the most precious substance in the post-apocalyptic world, oil. For those not in the know, the George Miller-directed film features one of the all-time great car chases. The Mill will show The Road Warrior Sat. Aug. 29 at 10 p.m. on their back deck.
