[image-1]Longtime downtown record store Millennium Music will shut its doors today (Sat. June 7) after 15 years in business. The staff plan to throw a Farewell Party at the store (ay King and Calhoun streets) from 2-8 p.m. with free food and beverages from Sesame Burgers & Beer, plus live jams from several local bands throughout the afternoon and evening.

The store will officially close its facility at 372 King Street for good on Mon. June 9 They plan to move to a warehouse in Mt. Pleasant to continue running their digital FeedYourPlayer.com services — an online program launched in 2006. See City Pick in this week’s issue and visit www.feedyourplayer.com for more.

4:30 p.m. — Jamie Resch (of Kentucky Shoes)

5 p.m. — Lindsay Holler (of The Dirty Kids, Kentucky Shoes)

6 p.m. — Milhouse (eclectic pop/rock band)

7 p.m. — The Mad Things (visiting high energy performance art band)

7 p.m. — Mouser (indie rock/noise pop)
