If there ever was a business that was destined to throw a Halloween bash, it’s Monster Music and Movies. And this year Galen Hudson and the gang are doing just that with their first ever Monster Music Pumpkin Classic. Starting at 13 o’clock (a.k.a. 1 p.m.) on Sat. Oct. 20, Monster will be giving out free pizza (while supplies last), offering lots and lots of sales, and hosting a costume contest and a pumpkin carving contest. (The carving contest is limited to 50 folks, so sign up early. Contact Monster at 843-571-4657 to register.) The event will also feature a trio of Holy City acts, including prog-rockers An Era of Echoes, singer-songwriter Estee Gabay, and newly reunited punkers Hybrid Mutants. Monster will also be giving attendees $1 off for each non-perishable food item donated to the Lowcountry Food Bank at the Pumpkin Classic. The $1 off can be used to buy any CD, DVD, or LP.
