In this challenging business environment, restaurants are adding and subtracting to the days and hours they stay open.
Virginia’s on King started serving breakfast this week, Monday-Friday from 7-11 a.m. along with weekend brunch. Smart move, we remember the long lines that used to form outside the Bookstore Café when it was in that space. Expect classic southern offerings like fluffy sweet potato pancakes and housemade sausage.
Over at the Blind Tiger, they’ve decided to open the doors for Sunday brunch, beginning in mid-March. They’ll be serving classics like crab benedict and fresh cornbread with sweet peach butter.
Out at IOP, JJ Kern will be adding brunch to the lineup at Huck’s Lowcountry Table in mid-March.
Tristan is also now offering a weekend brunch, on both Saturday and Sunday, but has discontinued its weekday lunches, which is too bad because it was one of the best deals in town.
