2022 Mystery Photo submitted by a City Paper reader. Used with permission.

Here’s a new mystery photo of live oaks taken somewhere recently in the Charleston area, but where is it? The 20th person who correctly guesses this week’s mystery, “Live oaks,” will win some City Paper swag. To enter (one entry per person), send your guess, name and hometown in an email to: mystery@charlestoncitypaper.com.

LAST WEEK’S MYSTERY: There was great participation from readers guessing last week’s mystery. “Empty bridge” showed the so-called “Bridge to Nowhere” near the Charleston Rifle Club in the Charleston Neck area. It’s been in the news because the long-anticipated Magnolia development at the end of the bridge is picking up steam again after lagging for a few years. Congratulations to Craig Steinkamp of North Charleston for being the fourth person to guess the location correctly. We’re sending a copy of our 350 Facts about Charleston to Craig.

Every Monday, the City Paper offers a mystery photo taken somewhere in the Lowcountry. We encourage you to guess — and make sure to share your name and the town in which you live. We’ll uncover the mystery the following week and, every now and then, give a prize.

Bonus: If you want to submit a mystery photo for us to share, send it to the email address above.

Enjoy!
