This week’s new mystery photo shows a brilliant green swath of marsh with a church in the background. It may be a tough shot to place, so we’ll send swag to the third person who correctly answers. Hint: It’s in Charleston County. Tell us the name of the church or where the shot was taken from. To enter (one entry per person), send your guess, name and hometown in an email to: mystery@charlestoncitypaper.com.

LAST WEEK’S MYSTERY, “Artsy image,” shows colorful artwork surrounded by bricks behind a fountain in the Judah P. Benjamin Memorial Courtyard outside of the Dock Street Theatre. Interestingly, the face of Benjamin, a Jewish Confederate leader, was on the Confederate $2 bill. More than two dozen people correctly guessed the location, but reader Darren Kerner of Charleston was 7th –and gets the (oh, so precious) swag.

Every Monday, the City Paper offers a mystery photo taken somewhere in the Lowcountry. We encourage you to guess — and make sure to share your name and the town in which you live. We’ll uncover the mystery the following week and, every now and then, give a small prize.

BONUS: If you want to submit a mystery photo taken by you for us to share, send it to our mystery email address. Make sure to put “Submission” in the subject line.

PAST MYSTERIES: While the guessing time on these mysteries is over, you might like seeing some old mystery photos that readers have puzzled over. Enjoy!
