Peninsula Grill has appointed a new manager and sommelier: Jacob A. Fuhr. He previously served as general manager and sommelier at The Ocean Room at The Sanctuary Hotel on Kiawah Island.

“It’s a great opportunity for me and for the company,” says Fuhr. He says he’s excited to be working with Chef Robert Carter. “It’s a perfect fit. We all share the same vision for the Peninsula Grill’s future, continuing to follow the path of succeeding.”

A 20-year industry vet, Fuhr has a wide knowledge of food and an extensive understanding of wines and how to match them with the local flavors of the Lowcountry. He started at Peninsula the first week of April and says, “It’s great to work at the best restaurant in Charleston.”
