[image-1]A window shattered and the exterior of the building was damaged yesterday after a car hit NICO Oysters and Seafood restaurant at 210 Coleman Blvd. in Mt. Pleasant.
According to Live5, the accident took place around 5:30 p.m. Mon. Nov. 20.

NICO is owned by Chef Nico Romo, formerly of FISH, and has only been open for three weeks. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

“Everybody was fine. Had table seat at that corner. Was definitely scary. But all good,” says Romo. “Actually the three people in the one car still came and seat down for dinner after the ambulance tried to take them. They were committed. Everyone was really nice and we quickly put wood on window. We just happy no one got hurt.”

The incident report is still pending a supervisor’s approval, according to Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
