Get your Sunday best out early. Charleston is celebrating Easter all weekend long with egg hunts, promenades, and brunches.

On Saturday, you’ll have your choice of Easter egg hunts. Besides their hunt, the Freshfields Village has plenty of kid-friendly activities to hop into, plus musical entertainment from John Cusatis and his band of instruments. Coastal Community Church hosts the largest hunt in Charleston, with a grand total of 30,000 candy-filled eggs (including 5,000 that will be dropped from a helicopter). The hunt begins promptly at 11:05 a.m. Or visit Bees Landing in West Ashley. All three events are free and family-friendly.

Middleton Place is holding an Easter Eggstravaganza at 11 a.m., where you can decorate your own papier maché eggs or real hard-boiled ones. They’ll also feature clay eggs made by the Stableyard’s potter and “prize” eggs filled with gifts certificates.

The Hat Ladies of Charleston will strut their stuff in their annual Easter Promenade, starting on Broad and Meeting Streets at 11 a.m. And the Charleston Symphony Orchestra’s Spiritual Ensemble will have A Spiritual Matinee at the Circular Congregational Church at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, after you get out of church, make your way to any of a number of restaurants for their special brunches. Both Vickery’s Bar and Grill locations will be serving brunch. McCrady’s ($35 a person) will have gospel singers and a book signing by The Charleston Chef’s Table author Holly Herrick. Dine with views of the beach at Blu Restaurant & Bar ($28.95 per person). The Boathouse at Breach Inlet will feature a special menu, including spicy shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, lump crab cakes, honey glazed ham, and much more.

Also on Sunday, Night Heron Park on Kiawah hosts a full-day event starting with an Easter egg hunt and toss at 10 a.m. It’s free, but remember to  “Bring Your Own Basket”. Later, at 6 p.m., Rick Hubbard and his kazoo band will provide musical entertainment while families enjoy a jump castle and can even build their own sundaes.

And if you’re looking for a photo-op, the Easter Bunny will be at the Citadel Mall. Happy Hunting.
