It’s hard to run theater, but it’s harder to run it in someone else’s house.
That’s the case with PURE Theatre. It leases Lance Hall, that wonderful little fellowship structure behind the Circular Congregational Church on Meeting Street. Usually things are swell, but sometimes schedules conflict. That’s why PURE has had to reschedule openings of recent shows.
It’s happened again with Spencer Deering’s original play, Sheep’s Clothing. Here’s a description recently sent to us: “Sheep’s Clothing follows a tight group of high school coaches who feel their way of life — and even their precious locker room — is under siege. (Not helping: One of their players recently ‘had relations’ with his young female math teacher). When a possible traitor emerges, the bike shorts ride higher, the whistles screech louder, and the roars grow threatening.”
Sheep’s Clothing was originally slated to open this week, but now there are new dates you should know about. Here they are:
