After more than a decade in West Ashley, Osaka has expanded to a second location in North Charleston. It officially opened at the end of February.
While much of the sushi menu is the same, the new restaurant brings back hibachi tables, where chefs can do the old egg-in-the-hat trick for you while frying up mounds of rice and piles of vegetables and meat.
The most notable difference is the ambiance. “The atmosphere is more of a fine dining feel,” says manager Adam Longo. “When you walk in the front doors it’s breathtaking: big chandeliers, leather seating, and multiple dining rooms.” The massive space houses a full bar, a sushi bar, a dining room, a hibachi area with eight new grills, and two private party rooms that can hold up to 30 people in each.
The restaurant is open daily at 211 Ashley Phosphate Road for lunch and dinner, 11 a.m.- 10 p.m., with delivery for big orders. For more information visit www.osakajapanese.us or call (843) 793-1945.
They’re currently offering a $10 gift card, now through 3/27/13, for new customers. Go here for more.
