[embed-1]When Palmetto Brewing opted not to move to North Charleston last year and instead stay put in its Huger Street digs , it came with one caveat: the understanding that the brewery would be sitting in the midst of a construction site.

The Brooks Signs building next door is currently being demolished resulting in bricks flying into Palmetto’s courtyard according to Palmetto’s Kate Fischer.

“The courtyard is out of commission right now,” says Fischer. “But we’re converting our warehouse into a space for people with a stage, a new bar, all kinds of stuff like that.”

But while the tasting room and courtyard are closed, brewing continues and Fischer says Palmetto will have a big re-opening party in November once the dust settles.

The brewery plans to reopen on Nov. 3.
