Parliament released the line-up for Pecha Kucha 11 on Monday. Created to bring together Charleston’s creative community, the event has become known for selling out tickets and highlighting some of the area’s most exciting emerging talents.

Pecha Kucha 11, scheduled for Wed. Oct. 12, will be hosted by Charleston magazine’s style director Ayoka Lucas. Guest speakers this time around include musician Mark Bryan (one of the other guys in Hootie and the Blowfish), handbag designer Alesya Opelt (recently featured as One to Watch in our Fall Arts Guide), City Paper‘s incredible cartoonist Steve Stegelin, Will Bullock, videographer Adam Boozer, photographer Sully Sullivan, and computer scientist Chris Starr. Each speaker will have six minutes and 20 seconds to present whatever they want.

As usual, the venue and other participants will be announced later, so keep your eye on Parliament’s blog for details. Tickets will go on sale later this week.
