The Obey team was back at work Tuesday on the second mural to coincide with the Halsey 30th anniversary show featuring the work of S.C.-natives Shepard Fairey and Jasper Johns, but this time they were a little closer to the ground.

In the partly-vacant warehouse complex which houses Butcher and Bee and High Wire Distilling Co., Fairey and co. worked on the second in their “Power and Glory” series, this one in Fairey’s trademark comrade propaganda look broken with layered decorative flourishes over the course of the 50-or-so foot wall opposite High Wire.

We sent CP photog Jonathan Boncek out to watch Fairey at work, and here are some of the shots. Keep checking back for more, should Shepard decide to fill any other blank downtown walls.

(Once again, BadJon has some great shots of the team at work too, check them out at badjon.com.)
