On Wednesday night Jamie Resch played some of her original music at Cumberland’s. Despite some rain and a late start, the performance was certainly worth the trip and the Lincoln. Friday night, I went to Oak Steakhouse for salsa night — too much fun. I think everyone there had a fantastic time. Saturday was the Charleston Music and Heritage Festival (ChazzFest) at the Family Circle Cup on Daniel Island. It was a really stormy day but a good crowd turned out to see the likes of Son Volt, Uncle Mingo, and Kool & the Gang. Later, I went across town to Folly Beach and caught a performance of the Graham Whorley Band. It was definitely a week filled with good music scattered all over town.
