I tried to hit a lot of events last week, but the two that I went to were so good, by Saturday I was exhausted. Thursday night I went to Lowndes Grove for the third time in the last month to go to the Great Gatsby Gala. It was a benefit for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Trident Area and a huge crowd showed up. It was the best participation for a dress-up party I’ve ever seen. My friend wore a flapper dress, and I was definitely looking like a gangster. It was a great party for a great cause at a beautiful location and hopefully they will do it again next year. On Friday night I drove by Redux to see the New Music Collective’s last performance before their summer break, but it didn’t look like a single person was there. Instead, I headed down to Cumberland’s to see Lindsay Holler and the Dirty Kids again. It was as fun as last week, and a large crowd showed up and stayed late. Welcome to the dog days of summer.
