Charleston’s Creative Parliament — the folks behind Pecha Kucha Night — decided to do things a little differently when it came to the 20th installment of the ridiculously popular Pecha Kucha, which is like a mix of show-and-tell and TED talks for local creatives. Instead of choosing the evening’s speakers themselves, the group opened up the process to online voting, asking people to select their favorite speakers from past Pecha Kuchas.

The results are in, and the lineup for PKN20 is: Charleston Fashion Week founder Ayoka Lucas; graphic designer Gil Shuler; web designer Buff Ross; photographer Sully Sullivan; the Holy City Beard and Moustache Society’s Paul Roof; poet and designer Marcus Amaker; painter Nathan Durfee; and Lunch and Recess’s Ethan Jackson. Laura Ball will emcee, and Elise Testone will perform, with additional music by DJs Cassidy and the Kid. Each presenter will be able to choose whether to present their original talk or create a new one.

In true Pecha Kucha fashion, the venue won’t be announced until closer to the Nov. 20 date. Since tickets have been known to sell out within 4 minutes of being released, if you want to score a seat at this bad boy better keep a close eye on the Pecha Kucha Twitter feed, @pkchs, so you’re ready when they go on sale.
