Starting Mon. Feb. 15, Poogan’s Porch celebrates 40 years on Queen Street with one helluva a deal: any guest who shows a student, military, or local ID from the tri-county area will receive 40 percent off of his or her dinner. Poogan’s Smokehouse, the Porch’s recently opened East Bay sister restaurant, will also celebrate, offering locals 25 percent off menu items, as well. Both deals run until Tues. March 1.

In a statement Poogan’s Chef Daniel Doyle says, “Poogan’s Porch will always have the classics — shrimp and grits, fried chicken, the biscuits. But what I’m really proud of has been our ability to evolve the menu in a way that is true to Poogan’s Porch, and continue to provide the level of service to our loyal local patrons.”
