The old Your Place has been completely rehabbed and replaced with Quick Bite, a fresh little eatery at the end of the Market.

We stopped by for a quick bite (hee hee) earlier this week and tried a salad and a cheesesteak. The choices are simple but freshly prepared and tasty. The Greek salad was well done with chopped romaine, plenty of feta, and a ton of hot pepperoncini peppers. A solid midday meal.

The renovation is pretty amazing. They took an old, greasy shack and turned it into a bright, clean dining room. Apparently, they have a couple parking spaces out back, but we didn’t find this out until after we scored a metered space nearby. Parking is definitely a deterrent down in this area, so it’s a necessary amenity. Another necessary amenity? AC. Theirs seemed to be having a hard time keeping the room cool. Maybe they forgot to leave it running all night?

The idea that they’ll be open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday is clever, and hopefully they’ll be able to attract the bar crowds as they stumble home in the wee hours. Stop by and check it out.

They’re located at 6 N. Market (that’s at the end near the cruise terminal).
