As you have no doubt heard, two explosions were reported near the finish line for the Boston Marathon, reportedly killing at least two and injuring dozens, according to media reports at 5pm. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the tragedy.
Of course, Charleston hosts its own major competitive running events, and this afternoon, officials from the Cooper River Bridge Run said, via Facebook, “Our hearts and prayers go out to the runners, families, the city of Boston, and everyone affected by the tragic events of today’s Boston Marathon. It’s a sad day for all of us.”
