[image-1]Revelry Brewing Co. is no stranger to collaborations. They’ve made beer for Tavern & Table, Lewis Barbecue, and, most notably, Sean Brock, with their heritage grain malt liquor, Amber Waves. The brew was launched at McCrady’s last September and served in controversial brown paper bags.
Now Revelry has teamed up again, but this time it’s for a double release. On Oct. 1, the brewery, along with Virgil Kaine Lowcountry Whiskey Co., will unveil “Electric Owl” Bourbon finished in Revelry Wild Farmhouse Ale barrels and Revelry Brewing’s “Oh My Darling” beer finished in Virgil Kaine whiskey barrels.
The barrel switch has resulted in what both businesses are calling two unique products. According to Virgil Kaine owners David Szlam and Ryan Meany, their new whiskey includes caramel and cherry notes promising “a first of its kind finish.” Meanwhile, Revelry’s Oh My Darling is a Barrel Aged Scotch Ale.
To try both, stop by Revelry beginning at 2 p.m. on Sun. Oct. 1 for a sample. Tobo Sushi Truck will also be on-site serving Asian and Latin-inspired food.
