Robert Stehling’s had his mind on a fried chicken shack for a long time now. He originally thought he might be able to put it in the Mia Pomodori space, but the numbers just didn’t work out. After abandoning that location, he was approached about a potential space at 1011 King St., the car wash at the corner of King and Grove streets.
He’s been working with architect Reggie Gibson on getting an idea approved by the city. They will be making a third attempt with a set of new drawings that are being submitted to the Board of Architectural Review today. Fingers crossed. I think we could all use a place called Chickenland in our lives.
