South Carolina marked its highest single-day number of positive of COVID-19 cases on Sunday, with 4,370 positive tests reported to state health officials.
Sunday’s figures reflected results from 18,600 tests conducted in the lead-up to Christmas, 23.5% of which returned positive. It is the first time single-day case reports have topped 4,000.
With increased travel over the holidays, South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control says over 130 opportunities for tests are available statewide.
At Charleston International Airport, MUSC returns with free rapid offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. each day.
