Unless you’re one of those annoying people that gets all their holiday shopping done in August, you’re probably just getting started. Good thing there are a handful of events this weekend where you can find local and unique gifts for everyone on your list.

Things kick off Friday with the King Street Shop Walk and the NEST pop-up store launch at Cynthia Rowley (see previous post).

Eye Level Art continues their monthly Artists and Fleas series on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. You’ll find original art, jewelry, soap, vintage clothing, and more. Black Bean will be selling grub. Free parking is available in the lot across from Fuel.

From there, you’re just a hop, skip, and a jump from Mac + Murphy, where Candy Shop Vintage (pictured) is hosting a trunk show from 1-4 p.m. You’ll find vintage jewelry and accessories along with champagne and treats from Sugar.

Later that evening, Rogue Wave Surf Shop is teaming up with Roti Rolls for a trunk show/truck warming party. The event will be at 38-A Charlotte St. RWSS owner Rhett Boyd says he’ll have a fresh batch of shirts and flannels as well as vintage pieces for men and women.

Enjoy a car-free King Street from 1-6 p.m. for the Second Sunday on King event. We expect an extra-magical shopping experience, especially later in the evening when the Christmas lights can really shine. We hear there might even be a flash mob.

Moving into next week, Library: Archives of Fashion hosts a holiday trunk show with Jane Pope Jewelry on Tuesday. The event will take place at 105-B Rutledge Ave., and shoppers will receive 15 percent off regular prices.
