Carrot haters rejoice — the Sophia Institute plans to improve your vision with their new event, RealEyes. Opening alongside the Institute’s Women of Wisdom gathering, RealEyes is a multimedia showcase centered on visual and societal perception, with an emphasis on a balanced masculine and feminine world.

The exhibit includes works from more than 50 artists, both local and international. Local artists include Arthur MacDonald, Karen Silvestro, and Lisa Shimko; out-of-town works will be on display by Dottie Moore, Emily Arthur Douglas, Mari Kuroda, and others. Stop by the opening party at the new International African American Museum (103 Logan St.) on Thurs. Sept. 30, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The works will be on display for one week.
