It’s not exactly turning water into wine, but we’re going to go ahead and count the following news as miraculous. Tomorrow the cast of Southern Charm is actually doing something, dare we say it, charming.

Producer and creator of the show Bryan Kestner tells us that Fri. Jan. 30, Whitney Sudler-Smith, Craig Conover, Shep Rose, Cameron Eubanks, and, our favorite and yours, Thomas Ravenel will join a radio-a-thon to raise money for MUSC Children’s Hospital.

“I was approached by Chef Brett McKee to see who could raise the most money, him or my cast with our Generalísimo Chef Bob Waggoner,” explains Kestner. “I didn’t even question when he asked me to do it.”

Starting at 7 a.m. tomorrow, Y102.5 and WEZL 103.5 will hand over the mic to the chefs and charmers. McKee and crew will go on the air first. “Then at 10 a.m. Bob, Thomas, Craig, Whitney and I will go on,” says Kestner. “And at 1 p.m. Shep, and Cameron will be on the air.” Those who call in and donate, Kestner promises, will get to speak to one of the real live reality T.V. personalities.

iHeartRadio, Inc. Operations Manager Travis Dillion says this is the seventh year the network has worked with Children’s Miracle Network to raise funds for the hospital. “We’re raising money for basically anything and everything that MUSC would use in their children’s hospital,” he says. “One hour we could be shopping for a pediatric care unit that could cost $2,000 with the hope of buying two of those. The next it could be stuffed animals, special blankets, or surgical equipment.” And Dillon hopes the charmers will use their influence to entice listeners to give.

“It’s about making a bit concerted effort to generate as much money as we can,” he says.
