[image-1]Stylish as ever, Chapel Hill swing/jazz/pop group Squirrel Nut Zippers — known best for their brassy 1996 breakthrough hit “Hell” — have recently reunited with most of the original and founding members. Vocalist/uke player Katherine Whalen, singer/guitarist Jimbo Mathis, drummer Chris Phillips, horn player Je Widenhouse, and bassist Stuart Cole are scheduled to perform at the Music Farm on Tues. Oct. 28 with support from Backyard Tire Fire. (Where’s former singer/guitarist Tom Maxwell? Doing TV and publishing work in L.A. and N.C.).

According to the band’s publicist, they will be performing material from their entire catalog — from early albums The Inevitable and Hot through Perennial Favorites and Bedlam Ballroom. There will also be a special live performance with their animated video for the song “The Ghost of Stephen Foster.” The Zippers already have plans for a new live record this year and a new studio record in 2009.
