Learn how to cook plant-based dishes in AMOR's 8-week course

Nonprofit AMOR Healing Kitchen is hosting Nature’s Nutrients, a new eight-week plant based cooking program.

With the new year, AMOR announced 2022’s Plant Powered Education, with a goal to increase education on plant-based cooking and sharing techniques, ingredients and recipes to those at home.

“We love to inspire people with food and empower them to take charge of what they nourish their bodies with,” said Maria Kelly, AMOR Healing Kitchen founder and executive director, in a press release.

“Our program is designed to meet people where they are in their journey towards a healthier lifestyle, and inspire them to explore using more whole foods in their kitchen and develop their home cooking skills. We want people to fall in love with real food again.”

Nature’s Nutrients will take place every Monday from 6-7:30 p.m., starting Jan. 24.

The classes will be held online via Zoom, with the ability to interact with other participants and WiBi Ashley and chef Kayla Rutherford of AMOR.

Through BOGO (Buy One Give One), Nature’s Nutrients will be accessible for their clients who are receiving AMOR’s home delivery program and would like to continue creating healthier eating habits but may not have the ability to purchase the program.

Early bird registration for the eight-week program is $325 and ends on Jan. 17. Standard pricing for the Nature’s Nutrients is $500, and also funds one need-based scholarship for the program.

In addition to the classes, participants will recieve

  • Nature’s Nutrients Plant-based Program Binder
  • Over 20 AMOR recipes
  • Certificate of completion for Nature’s Nutrients program
  • An invitation to Nature’s Nutrients graduation gathering
  • AMOR Healing Kitchen gift bag

A $50 additional purchase option of a starter kit will also be available and includes spices, herbs and condiments.

Those interested in taking the class can register on AMOR Healing Kitchen’s website.
