Come out and support the South Carolina Stingrays, as they take on the Greenville Road Warriors this Sunday in their last home game of the season. The Stingrays, ranked 4th in the Eastern Conference with a 35-27 record, will have a challenge ahead of them when they take on the Road Warriors, currently ranked 2nd in the conference with a 40-22 record.
The Stingrays will be celebrating two special events this Sunday, the first of which is fan appreciation night, which will allow fans free parking and post-game autographs from players. The Post and Courier is presenting the second event, Hall of Fame night, with four nominees. The nominees are Adam Calder, a forward from 1999-2003 who helped win the Stingrays the Kelly Cup in 2001; Marty Clapton, also a forward from 2000-2006 and Kelly Cup champion; Trevor Johnson, a defensemen from 2000-2006 who served as the team captain for three years; and Julie Thoennes who has helped manage the Stingrays to three Kelly Cup championships since its inception in 1993.
