The Charleston Community Band announces its May concert series.
The all-volunteer band will be performing May 3 at 2 p.m. at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center and on May 24 at 6 p.m. at the I’On Neighborhood Amphitheater. And on May 25 at 3 p.m., the Charleston Community Band will team up with the Columbia Community Band to put on the Marion Square Memorial Day Concert.
The band is composed of 75 dedicated amateurs and part-time professional musicians who perform concert band music. The best part is all concerts put on by the Community Band are completely free and open to the public. For more info, see www.charlestoncommunityband.com —Candice Summers
