New Orleans R&B/soul band Tank and the Bangas will play at Riverfront Park for Charleston’s annual Wine + Food Festival NightCap performance at the Culinary Village. And besides the live music, there will be libations and concessions in true WFF fashion.

“I am looking forward to just being able to play — getting the energy up again, you know — knock the rust off,” said Bangas drummer Joshua Johnson.

Tank and the Bangas just dropped a recent single, “No ID,” ahead of the upcoming album Red Balloon, the follow up to 2019’s Green Balloon.

“It’s very fun,” Johnson said of “No ID.” “If you see the video, you can tell it’s definitely one of those vibes to skate to.”

“I would say that there’s honestly just a little more maturity in this record,” Johnson said of Red Balloon. “The red symbolizes a passion, a fire, a burning. This one represents an understanding of self — Tfinding out what’s next.”
