Bull Street Gourmet
You can purchase an all-natural, hormone free, whole turkey (can be fried, roasted or smoked) for $5/lb or a turkey breast (available as roasted or smoked) for $8/lb (birds start at 12 lbs.) Sides include mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potato soufflé, and much more, and will run you $8-$12 for a 1.5-quart size or $14-24 for a 3-quart size. Apple, pumpkin, and chocolate pecan pie are all available as well for $22-$25 each.
If you have a minimum of 4 people, Cru will take care of your whole holiday — except they probably won’t chime in on your family’s argument about the football game. Their catering menu consists of dark and light meat options, plus plenty of sides including Southern cornbread stuffing with country ham, homemade giblet gravy, port wine cranberry sauce, and more, as well as several homemade pies to choose from. A la carte options are available, but reserve soon — the deadline to order is November 23.
Caviar & Bananas
At this gourmet market, you can choose from a whole ham served with a ginger maple glaze, an organic turkey (seasoned, seasoned and stuffed, or cooked with stuffing), or a turkey breast, all of which are gluten free. These range from $4.99/lb to $10.99/lb. They’re offering a large holiday menu with plenty of sides, desserts, and wines. All items are cooked in-house and from scratch, so if you’re feeling bold, you can tell your family you made it yourself.
The Glass Onion
If you spent too much time perfecting your turkey and forgot to provide some sides, the Glass Onion will save the day. They have sides available like cornbread sausage dressing (with or without oysters), deviled eggs, and braised local greens. They have desserts too, if your family didn’t bring enough for that eighth course.
Ted’s Butcher Block
These guys are here to help level up your Thanksgiving. They offer fresh Bell & Evans turkeys (birds less than 15 lbs. will be $3.35/lb., more than 15 lbs. are $3.50/lb.) or heritage breed turkeys for $6/lb. If you want it brined, it will be $10, and you can get them to cook it for you for $25. In addition, you can choose from their varied menu of sides including kale casserole, cream of cauliflower soup, and duchess potatoes.
Whole Foods Market
Whole Foods is offering ready-made entire meals with options ranging from a vegan dinner for that single family member who has protested your turkey ($12.99), or a large turkey dinner with all the fixin’s for $129.99. You can purchase sides separately too, and the selection ranges from corn pudding to honey baked mashed sweet potatoes to classic green bean casserole. Whole Foods also has reasonably priced artisan breads and desserts if your family has a sweet tooth.
Earthfare is taking Thanksgiving seriously this year. Not only are they offering all the essentials, their prices are so good, you’ll be tempted to let them do all the preparations for you. You can buy an antibiotic-free turkey for $2.69/lb or organic for $4.29/lb. They also have spiral ham for $5.99/lb. and turkey breasts for sale. You can order a plethora of sides and desserts or purchase an entire classic dinner for $135 that serves 6-8 people or a vegan dinner for 4-6 people for $75. Also, most of the menu is vegetarian, vegan, or wheat free.
Smoky Oak Taproom
Smoky Oak is fully prepared to cater your perfect Southern Thanksgiving dinner. For the main dish, you can choose from a fried or smoked turkey ($34.99), pulled pork ($9.50/lb), brisket, or barbeque chicken ($10.50/lb.) Smoky Oak also offers over 20 different sides and, depending on what size you get, they range from $4.99/pt to $24.99 for a covered dish.
