The State Election Commission is holding a meeting this morning to consider whether what will change after former Speaker Bobby Harrell, who resigned last week, submitted an affidavit earlier this week contending that he withdrew from Tuesday’s election for nonpolitical reasons. Whether those reasons were nonpolitical could determine if a special election is called in the race to fill the District 114 seat.
