South Carolina and Charleston’s automotive industry may be getting a boost on Friday with the expected announcement that Daimler will locate a new assembly facility for its Mercedes Sprinter vans at an undeveloped site in North Charleston that city council discussed as ‘Project Unicorn’ last week. Yesterday, Hanna Raskin over at the P&C published her latest in a series of investigative stories looking at potential labor law violations in Charleston restaurants. The latest names California Dreamin, Joe Pasta, and Market Street Saloon as racking up 112 violations, with more than a $150,000 fine being handed to Market Street Saloon alone.
