Experts in Charleston have proof that the same dolphin, called Floppy due to her curved dorsal fin, has been living in the water off of Charleston for the last 23 years. Lauren Rust, of the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network, said they recorded another dolphin at 41 years old, so we should have plenty more sightings of Floppy. Source: The State
The S.C. Department of Education announced that schools in the state would get 205 new school resource officers. State Superintendent Molly Spearman said that the new officers would be assigned to schools that don’t currently have one. Source: ABC News 4
