Lawmakers approve plan to spend the remaining COVID-19 relief money. On Wednesday, legislators appropriated the remaining $693 million in COVID-19 relief funds. Most of the money will go to replenishing the state’s unemployment fund ($420 million), with the remaining: $115 million to education and government agencies; $93 million on COVID-19 testing; $25 million for nonprofit grants; and $40 million for minority and small businesses.
