North Charleston is still considering how police racial bias audit will be conducted. CNA, the company that conducted Charleston Police Department’s racial bias audit, provided their plan for an audit to North Charleston officials Thursday. The City of Charleston has handed out 26 citations and 150 warnings to people not wearing face masks since July 1. Tracy McKee, the city’s chief innovation officer, said cases are down 60 percent since the mask ordinance was implemented. Charleston officials added that now is not the time to let up on mask use. Another South Carolina inmate died from COVID-19 Wednesday. The latest death comes from an inmate at McCormick Correctional Institution in McCormick, South Carolina. He was sent to an outside hospital after discovering he had the disease, where he died. Across the state, 1,477 prisoners have had COVID-19, with 857 active cases and 14 deaths. Source: Count on 2
