Top S.C. officials to appeal federal judge’s freeze on new state anti-abortion law. Gov. Henry McMaster, House Speaker Jay Lucas and Attorney General Alan Wilson, three top South Carolina Republican officials, filed notice Friday saying they intend to appeal an injunction issued last month by a federal judge that prevented the state’s new anti-abortion law from taking effect. Four College of Charleston students and two local businesses developed ImpactHub CHS, a platform to drive up e-commerce in the city, in efforts to revitalize the local economy by providing a website for Charleston businesses to sell their products. S.C. Senate passes bill requiring districts to offer 5 day, in-person learning. The South Carolina Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 704, which requires all South Carolina school districts to offer five day, face-to-face instruction starting after spring break. Currently, 54 school districts statewide are face-to-face five days a week, but a majority of the other districts have plans to get to that level soon. Source: WCNC TV
