Isle of Palms to permanently eliminate some parking. Isle of Palms City Council voted to eliminate land side parking on Palm Boulevard between 22nd and 40th avenues, affecting 100 to 150 parking spots. Officials plan to appeal federal ruling on absentee-voting witness requirement. Developers want to completely rebuild East Bay business plaza. Developers’ plan to completely rebuild the business plaza at 480 East Bay Street — near the corner of Calhoun and East Bay streets — will go under review on Wednesday at the Board of Architectural Review meeting.
