In a final guest lecture with a CofC class before he passed away over the weekend, political consultant Pat Caddell, apologized for the state of American politics. Caddell, a S.C. native, rose to prominence in national politics as he advised Jimmy Carter before he abandoned the Democratic party in recent years, spending his retirement in the Charleston area.
