[image-1]President Donald Trump made a fairly uneventful stop in Greenville to speak at a fundraiser for one of his earliest political supporters, Gov. Henry McMaster. Of course, it was Trump’s decision to tap then-South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to serve as U.N. ambassador that allowed McMaster to step into his current position. Now McMaster faces strong opposition from Republican opponent Catherine Templeton who recently outpaced the governor in campaign fundraising leading up to the 2018 GOP nomination for governor. For the seventh year in a row Charleston has topped the list for best small city in the United States, as voted by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler. Coming in second was the “winter hamlet” of Aspen, Colo., followed by Greenville, S.C.
