Hanahan brig one of the places Gitmo detainees could be transferred
As U.S. officials look for options following the closing of the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, one option is to send detainees to the Navy Consolidated Brig in Hanahan. Lindsey Graham is not too pleased with that possibility.

Lindsey Graham will see primary competition in 2014
Sen. Lindsey Graham has his first challenger for 2014; after much consternation from GOP purists, there was speculation that Graham would face GOP competition in the upcoming election. Well, Sullivan’s Island Libertarian Keith Blandford, who recently unsuccessfully ran against Tim Scott as a Libertarian, has said he will challenge the senior senator from both the Libertarian and GOP tickets, running as a ‘fusion’ candidate.

Christmas tree farmers differ in N.C., S.C.
North Carolina is the nation’s second-largest producer of Christmas trees behind Oregon, with about 1,600 growers cutting 5 million trees a year. South Carolina’s farms, which sit at lower elevations, harvest only about 30,000 trees from 45 mostly-independent growers.
