Former State Senator and filmmaker James Bubba Cromer will be speaking at evening screenings of his independent comedy film, The Hills Have Thighs on Sat. April 4 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Olde Village Talking Picture House, our favorite cheap movie destination.
The comedy is set in good ole’ Pickens County of our beloved state, and includes outrageous characters such as: Daniel Boone Owen, the vanished hillbilly town drunk who is in the middle of this country mystery; Drip Drywall, a homosexual man in denial who lives in a cat shelter; and Tree-Tree, an Obama-rrific liberal from the far, far away land of California.
Downright hilarity ensues. Tickets can be purchased at the door and are only $2 for members and $5 for non-members. The Olde Village Talking Picture House opens 15 minutes before the show and only seats 50 people, so make sure to get there early. And don’t worry, the popcorn is always free.
