Last week, we reported that Stan Gray and the rest of the Dig South team were just days away from releasing the musical lineup for the annual tech fest, and now they’ve finally done it. And like last year, Dig South 2014 will feature a mix of great national and local talent. At the top of the bill, the Lone Bellow, a Brooklyn-based baroque folk act in the vein of Mumford and the Lumineers. Joining them — the hippie country rockers Natural Child (think “One Toke Over the Line” meets “On the Cover of the Rolling Stone”), ol’ timey fave Blair Crimmins and the Hookers, and old school country-lovin’ act the Deslondes. The semi-local V-Tones and Holy City shining stars Jordan Igoe , Johnny Delaware, and Mechanical River round out the bill. The festival takes place April 9-12. Speaking of Mechanical River, Joel Hamilton released two new songs last week, “Tourniquet” and “Pomelos.” You can find the tunes at Mechanical River’s Bandcamp page.
