So this is the lesson our educators are teaching our kids: if you find a bag of white powder, the sure-fire way to determine what it is, um, is to taste it? Pardon. But that’s what a North Charleston principal did when confronted with a bag of white stuff, according to a report in today’s P&C:
A teaching assistant caught an 11-year-old boy showing a friend a bag containing a white powder during gym class at a North Charleston school.
Thinking the substance was baking soda, the principal decided to taste it, just to be sure.
It turns out that the plastic bag contained something more sinister — 0.8 grams of cocaine.
