The North Charleston Performing Arts Center recently added another notable gig to its schedule. The award-winning orchestral pop ensemble Swell Season — led by singer/guitarist Glen Hansard (from the Irish band The Frames) and classically trained Czech pianist/vocalist Marketa Irglova.
The Oscar-winning pair gained international acclaim for their music on the original soundtrack to the 2007 film Once.
Touring in support of their latest release, Strict Joy, Swell Season headlines a concert at the Performing Arts Center on Sat. May 22.
