Season 10 Top Chef: Seattle winner (and the second female to take the title), Kristen Kish is opening a restaurant in Charleston. After months of Instagram photos showing her visiting the Lowcountry, the former chef de cuisine of Barbara Lynch’s Menton Boston announced on Saturday that she’s partnering with Leon’s Fine Poultry and Oysters owner Brooks Reitz.

Reitz says he and Kish are now in the process of selecting a location.
“We have a number of spaces to consider, and are making sure we are somewhere that best showcases Kristen’s food and the kind of experience we hope to create,” he says. “I’m consistently amazed by the talent Charleston continues to attract, building on a long foundation of talented people moving here to help create what is now one of the most wonderful food communities in America. Kristen could have gone anywhere, but she has carefully gotten to know Charleston intimately over the past few years and decided it was time to take action. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
