ESPN reported Monday night that South Carolina’s men’s basketball team’s next coach is Chattanooga’s Lamont Paris. Paris takes over from Frank Martin, who was fired last week. The school has not officially confirmed the hiring, and any hire would need approval from the university’s board of trustees to be official. S.C.’s Graham bemoans Biden pick, laments Kavanaugh treatment. U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, said the liberal left won when South Carolina’s own federal judge J. Michelle Childs wasn’t picked as President Joe Biden’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court. The remarks came amid the first day of Senate Judiciary hearings mulling the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to replace Justice Stephen Breyer. Graham also said Jackson can expect not the be “villified” the way Trump pick Brett Kavanaugh was several years ago after allegations of sexual misconduct and assault surfaced.
